Warren Gatland has had his first slip-up as Lions coach. The New Zealander has banged his head after falling in the shower, Wales Online reports.

It's not the first injury for the Welsh coach who will be in charge of the Lions when they tour New Zealand next season.

Three years ago Gatland broke both his heels after falling from a deck railing while cleaning at his holiday home at Waihi Beach.

"I just slipped on a tile in the shower," Gatland told Wales Online.

"I never used to get injured as a player!".

He didn't receive any stitches, needing just a plaster instead.
