The NBA's first unanimous MVP and America's 44th president are practically best friends these days, but when Stephen Curry and Barack Obama step onto the golf course, there's plenty of trash talk for everyone.
Curry joined first lady Michelle Obama on The Ellen Show on Tuesday, and the Golden State Warriors point guard revealed just how the leader of the free world talks smack:
"You know how during his speeches, he has that slow cadence that kind of draws you in? He brings that same kind of vibe to his trash-talk. So I'll hit a shot out of bounds, and he'll just look like, 'Yeah, that's not a good shot. I'm going to need you to do better next time.' It gets under your skin, too, 'cause like, 'I know! I hit it out of bounds.'"
The Golden State Warriors basketball superstar talked about hitting the golf course with President Obama, and picked up some trash-talking tips from the First Lady!
Fortunately for Curry, Michelle had his back, sharing how to get inside the head of the POTUS:
Obama: You should trash talk back, Stephen.
DeGeneres: Give him some things to say.
Obama: Tell him about his ears. Here's one. Here's one. If you're putting, tell him, 'The shadow from your ears is really messing up my putt.'
DeGeneres: That is low.
Obama: That is what trash-talking is.
Curry: It's not fair, though, he's got 50 Secret Service out there, so if I trash-talk, he just gives them the look.
Curry, who's a 2-handicap on the links, told Ellen that the last few times he's played golf with Obama, the president got the best of him. He refused to divulge Obama's handicap as a golfer, however. That's top secret information.
