The Kiwi squash mixed doubles pair of Martin Knight and Joelle King were unable to add to New Zealand's medal haul overnight, losing the bronze match to Australia.

The Australian duo of Kasey Brown and Cameron Pilley took the match 2-1.

Knight and King started well, taking the first game 11-8. But the Australians bounced back, taking the second game 11-9 and the third 11-8.

In the gold medal match, the other Australian pair of Rachel Grinham and David Palmer overcame England's Peter Barker and Alison Waters 2-1.
