Sonny Bill Williams teams up with BMW

Sonny Bill Williams has today been announced as a brand ambassador for BMW in New Zealand.

The car company said the sports star Williams will represent the brand at BMW partner events such as golf, tennis, and motorsport.

As part of the partnership the All Black received his own BMW X5 vehicle today - a luxury ride coming in at a sweet $161,000.

"We are very delighted to welcome Sonny as a BMW brand ambassador as part of our New Zealand family", said Florian Renndorfer, BMW group New Zealand managing director.

"His sporting achievements are second to none, and his reputation internationally both on and off the field represent an incredibly high standard."

Sonny Bill Williams recently competed at the Rio 2016 Olympics as part of the New Zealand Rugby Sevens team.

He has played 33 tests for the All Blacks including as a member of the Rugby World Cup sides in 2011 and last year.
