A Rotorua man charged with the 1979 murder of Turangi man Rodney Tahu will appear at a callover in the High Court in April.
The case was called before a registrar at the Rotorua Courthouse yesterday and the 70-year-old was remanded on bail to appear at a callover in the High Court at Roto rua on April 17.
When the man appeared in the Rotorua District Court last week name suppression was lifted.
However, the man's lawyer Jonathan Temm has lodged an appeal in the High Court at Rotorua against that decision.
The appeal has been set down to be heard on March 16 and the man has been granted interim name suppression pending the appeal.
