Workplace bullying was not a factor leading to a Hamilton City Council worker taking his own life, according to a coroner's findings.
Dr Raymond Eric Mayes, a science educator at Waikato Museum for more than 10 years, died from the impact of a fall after jumping off the Bridge St bridge last June, according to Coroner Wallace Bain's findings.
The findings follow a two-day inquest in Hamilton last month where Coroner Bain heard evidence from Mr Mayes' family and current and council staff.
Dr Mayes' wife Julie asked the coroner to investigate the cause of death because she feared it may have been triggered by workplace bullying.
Dr Mayes' body was found by police under the Bridge St bridge, just minutes from his office at the Waikato Museum on 2.10am on 21 June 2013.
