Save Police are investigating a possible attempted abduction of a child from a hotel carpark in Christchurch.
The Governors Bay Hotel posted about the incident on its Facebook page on Friday night.
The post said there was an attempted abduction of a 9-year-old girl from its car park about 4.20pm on
Thursday.
The post said the young girl was playing with other children when a man in a "red shiny expensive looking car" stopped, got out and grabbed her arm.
The girl fought off her attacker and the all of the children ran into the hotel.
