Police are investigating after a bank robber pulled a gun on staff in Christchurch.

The robber left with cash from the Kiwibank at Bush Inn, Waimari Rd in Upper Riccarton, but the amount taken is unknown, Acting Detective Sergeant Wayne Boyd said.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Police have been conducting a scene examination, reviewing CCTV footage, taking witness statements, and supporting the bank staff.

Investigators want to urgently find and speak to the man in cycling gear and on a bicycle seen in CCTV images.
