Police are seeking witnesses to a fatal crash where an elderly man was struck by a vehicle in Manurewa in mid-September.

Pawar Singh, 75, died in Middlemore Hospital two days after being hit on September 12.

The white van which struck him was travelling north east on Alfriston Rd at about 10.30am when Singh walked across the road into the van's path.

Police asked anyone who may have witnessed the accident or was in the area at the time to contact Constable Graham Mako on 09 215 4828 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
