Three of Tauranga's new shopping complex will be the first to open their doors for business at 8am tomorrow, and KiwiRail slashes its freight service on the Northland-Auckland line. These are just two of the stories making headlines around the regions today.

The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationary and Noel Leeming will be the first shops to open at Tauranga's newest and largest shopping complex at 8am on Thursday.

KiwiRail has slashed its freight service on the Northland-Auckland line by half, a move that has been condemned by Winston Peters.

The Hawke's Bay's property market is going from strength to strength, with days to sell reducing, and median prices rising.
