Police name man of interest after officer hit in Auckland

Police are seeking Kyle Scott Tweedie after a female police officer was hit by a vehicle in Three Kings, Auckland, this morning.

The officer suffered was knocked to the ground after trying to stop a car on Mt Albert Rd, near the intersection of Mt Eden Road, about 11am.

She required medical treatment for minor injuries but is now back on duty.

Police this afternoon called for any information about the whereabouts of Tweedie, 44, who they said was an occupant of the car and is wanted for allegedly breaching his bail.

Anyone with information about Tweedie, or who knows the whereabouts of a blue 2002 Subaru station wagon - with the registration EWH180 - to contact the Auckland City District Crime Squad on 09 302 6557.
