Man trapped under tree at Dairy Flat

Emergency services have rushed to Dairy Flat, north of Auckland, after a tree fell on a man this afternoon.

Ambulance and the Fire Service were called to the rural property on Dairy Flat Highway about 2.20pm, a Fire Service spokeswoman said.

The man was trapped by his legs and firefighters were attempting to free him.

A rescue helicopter was en route to the scene.
