Woman trapped after two-car collision near Rolleston

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a two-car collision near Rolleston, on the outskirts of Christchurch where a woman is trapped in a car.

Wellington Fire Communications shift manager Mike Wanoa said firefighters were using cutting equipment to free the woman who had been trapped since the crash at 10.20am.

The crash happened at the intersection of Lincoln Rolleston Rd and Selwyn Rd.

Mr Wanoa said it was unclear at this stage how many occupants were in each of the vehicles and whether anyone was injured.

Police and ambulance were also at the scene.
