Love, Actually: Back for a holiday but eyeing return

Auckland Airport is the scene of thousands of welcomes as Kiwis return to spend time with their families at Christmas. We present some of these magic moments

Where have you travelled from today?

From Melbourne.

How long are you going to be here?

Probably about a month, actually. A big holiday.

So are you coming home, or visiting?

I'm visiting. I'm from Auckland, but visiting the family. I live in Melbourne.

How long has it been since you've been home?

I came back just for a weekend, about three weeks ago. But before that it was a while, so it's good to be back.

What are your holiday plans?

We'll probably go to New Plymouth, and we'll probably go over to Waiheke Island for a little bit as well. Chill out, catch up with people.

Jan: See the nephews.

How was that for a welcome? [Quinn running to greet her]

Beautiful, yeah. He wasn't allowed to come out to that part, but I thought that was pretty cute. He was very excited.

Jan: And she's thinking about coming back to live.

Abby: It's on the cards. One day.

So the month at home might be the decider?

Abby: Yeah, for sure.
