A man charged with breaking in to a Christchurch house and raping a teenage girl has today been remanded in custody.
Corey David Fowler, 33, was arrested late last night for the alleged rape and burglary in the suburb of Linwood in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The Phillipstown machine operator appeared from custody at Christchurch District Court.
Judge Tony Couch remanded him in custody without plea until September 3.
Detective Sergeant Geoff Rudduck said police and Victim Support are working with the teenage victim - that court documents suggest is under 16 - and her immediate family.
