A Tauranga property developer has appeared in court this morning accused of carrying a pistol and more than 400 rounds of ammunition on a central Auckland street.
Guy Perry appeared in the Auckland District Court this morning.
According to court documents, the defendant was arrested on Saturday on Federal St after allegedly being found with the .22 pistol and 403 rounds of ammunition.
The Companies Office website lists Perry as the director of at least six companies and he is the registered owner of two properties including a bach in Ohope with a capital value of more than $1 million.
He was remanded on bail and ordered not to possess any firearms pending his next appearance in the Tauranga District Court next month.
