Police say they are concerned for the welfare of a 22-year-old Auckland illustrator who went missing early Monday morning.
Kiwi-born Malaysian-Chinese man Adam Tan has not been seen since he ran away from friends on Lincoln Rd in Henderson, west Auckland.
Mr Tan is 1.75m tall, has long black hair and was last seen wearing maroon skinny jeans, a navy cable-knit jumper, Chuck Taylor shoes and prescription glasses.
Police and search and rescue have searched the bush areas around Waitakere Hospital, Henderson Creek, Central Park Drive and Tui Glen Reserve.
Mr Tan's sister Cindy Tan said he was internationally known for his paintings of New Zealand's wilderness and suburbia.
