A Hamilton superette was robbed tonight by three men wielding a hammer and a knife, police say.
The three men entered the Peachgrove Superette on the corner of East St and Peachgrove Rd about 6pm and demanded cigarettes.
They are believed to be Maori, aged 18 to 20 years, and one was carrying a bight yellow bag and wearing a fluorescent vest.
Another was wearing a dark (either black or navy) jacket with brown vinyl sleeves.
The third offender was wearing a dark blue or purple jacket with a hood.
