Nobody has yet been charged over an early morning attack on a 23-year-old man in central Auckland, police say.
The man was kicked about his head until he was unconscious in a fight between two groups on Customs Street, about 3.30am yesterday.
"During the fight a 23-year-old old man was
knocked to the ground and kicked about the head, rendering him unconscious,'' police said.
The man was admitted to Auckland Hospital with a serious concussion injury.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dick Corbidge said today police were still to track down the offenders and the investigation was ongoing.
