The former lover of Auckland Mayor Len Brown wants nothing to do with the people who she claimed made her go public about the affair.

Bevan Chuang said a member of Mr Brown's right-wing rival John Palino's failed campaign team, Luigi Wewege, with whom she entered an intimate relationship, and freelance journalist Stephen Cook were among those who pressured her to expose the mayor's infidelity.

She signed an affidavit prepared by Mr Cook about the affair, which was then published on the Whale Oil blogsite run by Cameron Slater.

Ms Chuang said articles published on the site claiming she wanted Mr Brown to resign were "all lies".

She posted on her Facebook page: "I have been foolish, but I feel used, abused and manipulated by people I thought were friends who have been taking snippets of what I have said to advance their own political agendas and muck-raking campaigns. And would Cam Slater and Palino's team PLEASE stop texting me and calling me. This is harassment!"

Ms Chuang said the blog writers had "put words" into her mouth. "Throughout the blog, I was quoted as saying I wanted Len Brown to stand down, but I never said it."
