New Archbishop for NZ's Anglican community

The Anglican community has chosen a new Archbishop.

The Bishop of Taranaki, Philip Richardson, has been confirmed as Archbishop-elect at a meeting in Wellington today.

From May 1st the 55-year-old will become one of three Archbishops leading the Anglican Church of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.

He will also continue as the Bishop of Taranaki.
