Four Murupara residents accused of conspiring to defeat the course of justice will be back in court next month.

Gwenyth Jan Howden, 50, and Chevy Miki, 24, are alleged to have conspired between March 31 and April 29 last year by informing witnesses not to attend a trial to give evidence. They each appeared in the Rotorua District Court separately today and were remanded without plea for a post-committal conference on April 19.

Bryce Brass, 20, and Haley Charley Wiki Brass, 22, also appeared in the Rotorua District Court today charged with conspiring between April 4 and April 29 last year by informing witnesses not to attend a trial to give evidence.

They did not enter a plea during their appearance and were also remanded for a post-committal conference on April 19.

Bryce Brass also faced a charge of cultivating cannabis when he appeared in court but was remanded without plea to reappear in court on March 25.
