The High Court has ruled in favour of Occupy Auckland protestors.
A number of activists camped out in Aotea Square for several months from late 2011 until they were then evicted from Aotea Square in January 2012.
Auckland Council went to court, where it was ruled the eviction was allowed, but Occupy Auckland protestors then appealed that ruling in the High Court.
In a ruling released today, Justice Ellis said the earlier court order, allowing the eviction, went too far.
