Quake measuring 4.8 rocks Marlborough

Central New Zealand was shaken by a strong earthquake early this morning.

GNS Science said the 4.8 magnitude tremor struck at 12.01am, 30km south of Seddon, Marlborough, at a depth of only 2km.

The quake was felt across the Marlborough and Wellington regions.
