Two men have been arrested and a third man is being sought after the suspicious death of a man in Auckland last night.

Police said Michael Roberts, 48, died after an altercation in his Mt Albert Road, Three Kings, home about 7pm.

Two men, a 19-year-old and a 36 year-old, were arrested last night and will appear in the Auckland District Court today charged with common assault.

The 19 year-old accused was located at a Larchwood Ave, Westmere address while the 36 year-old was found by police in Grey Lynn.

Police said they were looking for a third person believed to have been involved in the incident.

Mr Robert's body will undergo a post-mortem examination this morning and his death was being treated as unexplained.

Police and forensic experts will today examine the address where the alleged assault took place, as well as a vehicle believed to have been used by the accused that was recovered from the Westmere address.
