Macsyna King says she has unfairly been painted as a monster, someone who didn't give a damn, who paid no attention.
But she now feels liberated by a coroner's inquest which found there was "not a scintilla of evidence" that the death of her twins, Chris and Cru Kahui, were
caused by her.
"The cruelty, the taunts, the horrible words spoken, the threats on me and my family were for nothing. I was judged before I was given a chance. I was accused of things I never did ... for six years and it's been torment and torture and horrible and I don't know how some of you people who have done these things can live with yourselves," Ms King told Campbell Live.
Coroner Garry Evans' report, released yesterday morning, cleared Ms King but found that the Kahui twins' traumatic brain injuries were suffered while they were in the sole care of their father, Chris Kahui.
When Kahui was found not guilty of their murder in 2008, Ms King said, people turned on her - they said if it wasn't him, it must have been her.
