Save A lucky diver has been plucked from Wellington's south coast after getting into trouble this morning.
The man was diving off Moa Point while his female partner waited for him on shore, Inspector Ken Climo said.
"He went out with an hour's oxygen, then two and a half hours later
she decided 'I better report him'."
Wellington's Westpac rescue helicopter began a search for him after she raised the alarm about 11am and shortly later found him in the water.
He was winched to rescue and did not need to be taken to hospital.
