Republican presidential candiate Herman Cain has revealed his lack of knowledge of the recent Libyan uprising.
When asked his thoughts on the president's policy during an interview with the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Cain leaned back and appeared to search for an answer. Finally he said, "Okay, Libya".
"President Obama supported the uprising, correct? President Obama called for the removal of Gaddafi - just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing before I say 'Yes, I agree,' or 'No, I didn't agree."'
Cain eventually said he disagreed with Obama's approach in Libya - before abruptly changing his mind.
"Nope, that's a different one," he said. "I gotta go back and see."
"I've got all this stuff twirling around in my head."
The Republican presidential candidate's spokesman and national security adviser put Cain's flustered answer down to tiredness.
He said Cain has been spending anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours a day studying national security issues.
"It's frankly just a lot of stuff to know in a little bit of time"
