Police hunting the so-called Botox bandit, after a woman fled a Christchurch beauty clinic without paying for $780 worth of cosmetic treatment, have made an arrest.

The woman disappeared after telling staff at the clinic on July 29 that she had left her a wallet in her car, and was last seen running off along the road.

Police said today they were speaking to a 29-year-old woman in Nelson after help from the public.
