The ex-boyfriend of dead Auckland teenager Emily Longley is expected to enter a plea on a charge of murder when he appears in court in September.
Elliot Turner, 20, was remanded in custody after a brief appearance at the Winchester Crown Court in England tonight (NZ time). He is also charged with perverting the course of justice.
Turner stood in the dock for about 10 minutes. He was smartly dressed in a shirt and trousers.
Judge Keith Cutler remanded him in custody for a plea and case management hearing on September 30.
His parents Anita, 50, and Leigh, 53, appeared alongside their son in the glass dock, but he barely acknowledged them, staring straight ahead.
