A man found guilty of sexual offending against his granddaughter has had his appeal dismissed by the Supreme Court.
The girl was aged between 11 and 14 at the time of the offending.
The man's appeal was based on the inclusion of inadmissible evidence in relation to the victim's second complaint.
The court has ruled although some evidence in relation to the second complaint was beyond what was necessary, there was no associated prejudice and no miscarriage of justice.
