The names of two men killed in separate road accidents in the Waikato last week have been released by Police.
Christian Montgomery, 27, of Glenn Massey died last Tuesday when the back tyre of his scooter blew out causing him to cross into the path of an oncoming
4x4 vehicle on Waingaro Rd.
Te Hokingamai Hone Arama Rangitaawa, 17, of Hamilton died when the southbound Toyota Landcruiser 4x4 he was travelling in as a rear passenger failed to give way at an intersection in Mangapiko on Saturday.
While travelling through the intersection, the Landcruiser has hit by another car before it collided with the Mangapiko Hall.
Police spokesman Andrew McAlley said the death of Mr Rangitaawa brings the total number of people killed on Waikato roads so far this year to seven, compared to one for the same period last year.
