In Northland even the possums are celebrating the All Blacks' win in the Rugby World Cup.
Richie McPossum was spotted holding the Webb Ellis Cup aloft at the Kerikeri crossroads after Sunday's victory with All Blacks captain Richie McCaw's number 7 shaved into his fur jersey.
A week earlier, after the win over the Springboks, half the team appeared in marsupial form.
Sculptures of dead possums appear at the SH10/Kerikeri Rd roundabout during major events.

They are the work of Kerikeri's phantom possum sculptor. The "artworks" always feature dead possums, and occasionally hares.
Past sculptures have poked fun at political leaders, encouraged runners in the Kerikeri half-marathon and offered Christmas wishes.
One even appeared to be a proposal to the sculptor's girlfriend.
