It's less than a month to the general election and all candidates in the Northland electorates - Northland, Whangarei and Te Tai Tokerau - are now known after nominations closed yesterday.
And while the winners won't be known until after the votes are counted in the September 20 election, one thing is certain - Whangarei will have a new MP after National's Phil Heatley retired this term after 15 years as Whangarei MP.
Whangarei has 10 candidates, Northland nine and Te Tai Tokerau four.
As part of the newspaper's Election 2014 coverage, we will be quizzing the candidates on your behalf on the issues that affect the region.
The Advocate will be sending candidates a list of questions.
