Who ya gonna call? Well, apparently Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt, if their plans for a Ghostbusters spin-off go ahead.
The Daily Beast has uncovered another email from the Sony hack that shows Tatum was keen to get a spin-off franchise, similar to the way Christopher Nolan reinvented Batman, off the ground with his buddy Pratt.
Sony Pictures Entertainment was hacked in November by a group calling themselves Guardians of Peace, who have since leaked documents including salaries, employees' personal information, upcoming movies such as Annie and a swathe of emails.
An email sent by Tatum in August to Sony's co-chairman Amy Pascal says: "Let us show the world The DarkSide and let us fight it with all the glory and epicness of a HUGE BATMAN BEGINS MOVIE. I know we can make this a huge franchise. Fun adventure craziness. COME OONNNN."
Next came an email from Columbia Pictures co-president of production Hannah Minghella, who revealed Tatum plans to star alongside Pratt (of Guardians of the Galaxy fame) in a Ghostbusters spin-off, produced by the Russo brothers, who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
"(They) want to create a whole new mythology that would support multiple movies (the way that Nolan reinvented Batman)," it reads, adding Pratt, who's friends with Tatum, had yet to be contacted.
"They want to make it simultaneously super scary while also super funny."
The email went on to discuss whether or not they could make the movie simultaneously with Paul Feig's all-female Ghostbusters, or if he could direct both.
It isn't the only Ghostbusters-related email that's come through from the hack.
In an email sent by Pascal in October she says Feig's Ghostbusters reboot, to be released in 2016, isn't a sequel and will have completely different characters to the 80s flicks.
She also says actors including Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer, and Lizzy Caplan have expressed interest and Ryan Gosling has also been in touch about the male role.
