Prime Television is investigating an infomercial for a memory aid that has been withdrawn from television in Australia.
The advertisement for the Mega Memory System features on Shop America, which screens twice a day on Prime.
The company that markets the system agreed to withdraw the commercial after failing to prove to the New South Wales Fair Trading Department that claims made on the advertisement were true.
The talkshow-style ads claim the Mega Memory System can give users a photographic memory.
Prime Television general manager Warwick Syphers said the network would make its own inquiries about the commercial, which started screening two weeks ago.
