A social worker is furious about the "sexist" toilets she encountered at an Auckland service station.
Chantelle Campbell was forced to use a male toilet when she was confronted with two options at the Henderson Z Energy petrol station. Both were labelled for men. But only one had a sign for women and disabled people as well.
Campbell thought the way the bathrooms had been labelled was sexist. She said if it was the other way and both were for women, and only one for men, it would also be sexist.
"Women's rights have come a long way. We shouldn't be having these men's only toilets when there's a choice of only two toilets in a place. It's carrying on patriarchal messaging.
"I think they should make them both unisex."
