A woman claims she was horrified when she bit into a cream donut and found a condom inside.
She confronted the retailer, who allegedly told her: "Maybe two shop workers got excited and had sex in the place where the doughnuts are made."
America Leal says she bought the sweet treat from a store in Baja California del Sur in western Mexico.
But it was only when she took it home to her niece that they made the horrific discovery.
America posted a photograph on social media showing the condom inside the donut.
She said: "Everything was going well at my house, but as my niece and I started to eat one of the doughnuts, we realised that a condom was in the centre."
America went back to the Soriana Mercado store and told the owner about the unhygienic contents of her donut.
And she was shocked when he allegedly blamed it on raunchy store staff.
The store refunded Americ's money and gave her a free cake to make up for her distress
But she is disgusted about the way the branch of Soriana Mercado, which has stores across Mexico, dealt with her complaint.
America believes the business should have offered her more by way of compensation.
She added: "This cannot continue like this, Soriana is a nationwide chain and I will not accept that they want to wash their hands of me by giving me a cake and a points card!"
America went to the Federal Prosecutors Office to lodge a formal complaint about the condom.
But the prosecutor allegedly took no further steps and did not look into the case.
