Those with eagle eyes may have noticed that our abundant picnic photo features items that we don't have recipes for. Recipes for pickled mussels, spring sangria, candied nut clusters and chilled asparagus soup will complete Warren Elwin's set next week.

A picnic is a great way to host get-togethers over the festive season. With all the food made in advance you get to enjoy time with your guests and go home to a tidy house ... if the weather hasn't seen you de-camp back there earlier.
