Donald Trump's hair has been a hot topic of discussion long before his name landed on the Republican presidential ticket, and now his former hairdresser is revealing its secrets.
Amy Lasch, 52, worked with the Donald on the early seasons of The Apprentice, where she found out that his famous golden locks were 100 per cent real.
Lasch was shocked when she found that she could barely comb through his mane, which was "solid and matted" because Trump applied so much gel to it every day.
"He has really long hair and he combs it back straight, he does it himself," Lasch told the Mirror.
"It is real and it is his hair - he doesn't have plugs."
Lasch quickly realised that the Donald skipped out on professional salons and instead had his family cut and colour his hair.
"When I looked at the back of his hair I could tell it was not a hairdresser cutting it," she said. "It was scary. It was just cut in a straight line."
But Lasch had even harsher words for the 70-year-old's dye job, which she called a "calamity".
