A decade-long "amazing, fun adventure" has culminated in wedded bliss for Sunday presenter Miriama Kamo and her longtime beau Mike Dreaver.
The couple, parents to 3-year-old daughter Te Rerehua, married last weekend on a patch of Waiheke Island land they bought eight years ago.
Kamo and Dreaver, an item since they met watching a boxing bout 10 years ago, told New Idea they spent months tidying up the property to create the perfect spot for their big day.
Kamo, who also presents TVNZ's Marae, wore a stunning, low-cut Kiri Nathan dress, embellished with lace.
The ceremony was in front of 220 family and friends, including many TVNZ colleagues.
Dreaver, who is a consultant and Treaty of Waitangi negotiator and also has a teenage son, vowed: "I promise you today that my faith in you will never falter, that I will search for quiet times and secret spaces together, that my love for you will last forever." Kamo later reflected on the couple's journey.
"It's like we had been on the most amazing, fun adventure for the past 10 years - and getting married just makes us tighter as a team."
The latest edition of New Idea - on sale today - has exclusive pictures of the couple's big day.
