For each croque:

1 Take 3 pieces of toast bread.

2 Butter or spread with mayo.

3 Spread each slice with some grain mustard.

4 Generously layer sliced ham and tasty cheese on to
2 slices and stack up to make a 3 tier sandwich.

5 Make a mix of eggs and milk (as you would for French toast) and dip the triple deckers into this, allowing the bread to soak up the mix.

6 Seal each sandwich in a pan with a little oil and then place on an oven tray.

7 Bake the croques in a medium oven until the cheese is melted.

Serve with lots of paper napkins.
