The founders of Mr Vintage clothing say they will keep producing T-shirts reading "Naturally, I finished my set", despite threats from Cameron Leslie, the Kiwi who became a viral sensation after bragging about his gym work-out during the tragic explosion in Norway last weekend.
Mr Vintage created the white T-shirts with black print three days after Leslie appeared on TV3's Campbell Live where he told the nation he finished his gym routine despite being only 50m away from the blast.
"Naturally, I finished my set," he told presenter John Campbell. Mr Vintage founder Rob Ewan said customers contacted him requesting the T-shirts, worth $19.95.
"We got plenty of emails, and friends were sending us the link. 'Naturally I finished my set' is up there with 'O for Awesome' and 'Blow on the Pie'," Ewan said.
Leslie slammed Mr Vintage by publicly posting a message on its Facebook page.
"The fact you are trying to ridicule me for your own commercial gain makes me sick and proves to everyone here what a low-lying scumbag you are. Any individuals, associations or businesses trying to make profits from my pictures, videos or comments will be forced to donate proceeds to charity. Tui New Zealand is first and then I'm coming for you, you prick!"
Tui also created mock billboards that read, "8th rep of 165kg. Naturally I finished my set. Yeah Right."
"He put himself out there to be ridiculed. We are echoing the voice of New Zealanders. It's his own fault, he made a stupid comment, he's getting what it deserved," Ewan said.
