Former Kiwis forward Frank Pritchard has informed his Parramatta Eels teammates he won't be returning for the 2018 NRL season and will be retiring from rugby league.
Pritchard, 34, spent one season with the club where he was able to play alongsde younger brother Kaysa, having previously spent 12 season between the Penrith Panthers (2003-10) and the Canterbury Bulldogs (2011-15).
A dynamic ball runner, Pritchard made his debut for New Zealand in 2005 and went on to play in 26 tests for the Kiwis, before going on to play five for Samoa.
After his contract with the Bulldogs ended in 2015, Pritchard left the NRL to join Hull FC in the English Super League, before returning to the NRL to play for the Eels.
The Sydney-born forward had the option to return for the 2018 season, but declined it.
