As we set stretch goals for ourselves and start to move forward towards our best life there is a powerful energy that helps us build momentum. This magical force is called synchronicity and the more we become aware of it and the more we look for it, the more we will see it.

Synchronicity is the force that rewards us for being brave, stepping out of our comfort zone and moving towards our best life. It shows up in tiny ways disguised as coincidences or luck. It's the dream house on the dream street that just comes up at the perfect time. Or the chance meeting of a friend of a friend who happens to be the perfect business contact. Or the missed bus that leads to a conversation that leads to a date with Mister Right. All manner of good things start to unfold for us once we are brave and start to step in the direction that is right for us. Note that we need to commit first, we need to make the step forward. Post the ad for the flatmate. Hand in the resignation. Apply for the scholarship. Synchronicity is not a passive force. Synchronicity is not about expecting the universe to magic up a pony for us without us lifting a finger. We need to engage first. We need to meet with the bank. Or start our novel. Or sign up for Spanish.

When we commit, when we move towards what is genuinely right for us then the universal force of synchronicity will come into play. But the intention must be driven by us. It's a four-step process for you to get the magic of synchronicity happening for you now you are clear on your goals:

1. Commitment. Step forward, take action towards the life you desire, that you know deep down is right for you. Be brave. Commitment is key to engaging the powerful force of synchronicity. When you move, it moves.

Action: What is one thing you can action this week that moves you towards your right life?

2. Awareness. Notice where coincidences, luck, chance are starting to happening for you. It should feel easy, like life is unfolding just as it should.

Action: Ask yourself these questions:

• Who or what am I attracting into my life right now?
• What coincidences have I noticed?
• What has been lucky?

3. Gratitude. Be happy and thankful as you notice universal magic in action. It's a force for good and it's benevolently working for you. So relax! You don't have to do all the work. If you are heading in the right direction it should feel easy. It should feel like things are just "working out".

Action: What are you thankful for right now? What are the themes you can recognise in the things and people you are attracting right now?

4. Intention. Use this force to power you forward, set intentions that would be a dream-come-true, that would make the path to achieving your goal smooth and effortless.

Action: Ask yourself these questions:

• What else would I like to attract into my life right now?
• What connections or things would be awesome?
• What would I love to happen or to magically work out for me?

I appreciate that the principle of synchronicity may seem a bit "out there" for some of you! I encourage you to be open-minded about it. I have seen it in my own and my clients' lives more times that I can count. This universal force for good will be working for you whether you believe in it or not, whether you recognise it or not. It is most powerful when you embrace it enough to set clear intentions. It will help you reach your goals with more speed and ease. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain by embracing a little extra magic in our lives.
