Classic, after classic - after classic. This is just how a concert showcasing some of New Zealand's best musical talent should be.
Concert-goers were eased into their Saturday night entertainment when Under A Starry Sky began with local woman Debbie Harwood's dulcet tones.
After singing a few of her hit songs she welcomed musician Hammond Gamble, Margaret Urlich and Annie Crummer to join her on stage.
Whether it was Urlich's sparkly sequin bomber jacket or Crummer's causal banter, the trio's expansive energy rebounded off one another, sending a surge into the crowd.
As the sun set, cloaking the surrounding vines in darkness, Black Barn's amphitheatre lit up.
