After picking up four awards at last year's Hutchwilco Boat Show, Napier-based Dickey Boats has motored to three gold awards at this year's event.
The company has picked up three golds - for Boat of the show new model 2015, the Aluminium fishing boat open 2015 and the All purpose open 2015.
The company's's Dickey Custom 850 model took the first two awards and the Dickey Custom 800 picked up the latter.
Company founder and manager Jason Dickey said the company's "unique approach" to boatbuilding created the difference.
"Not only in design and construction, but also the level of customisation," he said, adding it was customer input which was clearly important.
"In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find any boat that encourages so much input from clients - most finished boats are stamped with their owners DNA," Mr Dickey said.
"But these awards aren't just recognition of the quality of each and every Dickey Boat," he said.
"They also acknowledge the dedication, skill and hard work of the whole team in Napier because without them, building boats of this calibre simply wouldn't be possible."
The company had experienced increased business growth in overseas markets.
Having made their presence felt in Australia interest was also increasing from Europe.
The company produces about 15 boats a year from 7.5m to 18m in length and is currently in what Mr Dickey said was an expansion stage, with a new factory building under way and extra staff sought.
