A 14-year-old girl's complaint of being raped in a Flaxmere park a fortnight ago could be aired on TV crime programme Police Ten7.
Detective Jeff Foley, of Hawke's Bay CIB, said yesterday inquiries had not pinpointed any suspects, although publicity after the incident early on March 12 had resulted in several names being put forward.
None of the information had been "close enough" for any to be interviewed, and police said they were still seeking relevant information.
The girl told police she had been walking home from a friend's soon after midnight when a man began following her near the Flaxmere Village Shopping Centre.
She said he caught up with her near a skate bowl beside the shops, grabbed her from behind, pulled her to the ground and raped her.
