For 21-year-old Harriette Hutton, winning a car could not have come at a better time.
The Havelock North woman, who is set to graduate this week with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching, was the proud winner of a new Fiat Punto Pop.
The hatchback, worth more than $17,000 from Wayne Kirk Prestige in Napier, was given away as part of NZME's The Hits radio station promotion. Ms Hutton was one of 500 people who were given a key in the radio's station's competition, but only one would unlock the Fiat Punto Pop.
Ms Hutton, who was in desperate need of a car after her sister crashed her old one, said she was looking forward to taking her mum for a spin in her new Italian-designed wheels.
She added her friends were "super happy" and no doubt would want a ride in the stylish white vehicle.
