The showgrounds in Hastings is teeming with volunteers as the final preparations are made ahead of the Hawke's Bay Show this week.
The show's event manager, Anna Hamilton, said there were about 350 people volunteering including school and community groups and Hawke's Bay A&P Society members.
"There's lots of man hours and planning behind it - we've been really busy."
Yesterday the showgrounds came alive with marquees, arena fences, amusement trucks and a hot pink topdressing plane - which landed on the main arena.
Judging for the home industries competition continues today, with knitting, sewing, handcraft and woodturning entries currently being scrutinised at the showgrounds. All entries will be displayed.
